Bankruptcy

Bankruptcy can be used to delay the foreclosure process, but it won’t actually stop foreclosure.   Filing bankruptcy will put your foreclosure on hold during the bankruptcy process. Once your bankruptcy is discharged the foreclosure process will resume where it left off.

There are some situations where bankruptcy is the best solution for the homeowner.  If you are considering bankruptcy please contact an attorney who is familiar with the Colorado foreclosure process.   You may still be able to avoid foreclosure even if you go through bankruptcy.

Short Sale Colorado has completed short sales for homeowners prior to, during, and following bankruptcy.
